If I don't, I find myself mentally doodling the day away. Not good. I think I need a list, too. Or an innoculation. Let me know if you find one, okay?Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14602177425483410112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5688209043302840072.post-38418601459467816192009-08-11T18:38:44.747-05:002009-08-11T18:38:44.747-05:00OK, this is the 3rd time I've read this today....OK, this is the 3rd time I've read this today...promising to complete one more little task and then I'll come back and post...I'm finally going to do it!

I believe that I am the world's WORST procrastinator...It seems like nothing I need to do gets done by the original deadline I set for it. Am I just setting my sights too high? Or am I truly "putting things off?"

The enormous pile I have on my plate is such that I have to constantly re-prioritize my list of to-do's, gotta-get-dones, stuff-I've-promised, and stuff-others-expect-me-to-do. Amidst the demands of a DH, teen-age daughter, aging parent, 2 horses, 3 dogs, a church congregation, and a fledgling business (or three) any attempt at making a neat and orderly schedule of things I need to (and can) accomplish each day has become the monster-under-the-bed. I tremble in fear of looking under there and facing him (or the 3 pound saber-toothed dust bunnies that have accumulated there) because "keeping house" never seems to make it into my list of high priorities. You'll note that the above list doesn't include any mention of "things-I'd-LIKE-to-do"

Maybe I'm not such a bad procrastinator...maybe I have severe AADHD & a short attention span...Maybe I'm just a poor planner...Maybe I need to learn to say "No" or "Please do it yourself" more often...it bears considering.

Thanks for a wonderful post...your topics usually give me a chance to reflect, vent, rant or laugh...all of which are cathartic...and saves me tons of money on a psychiatrist...

Hugs!
TerriSoDear2MyHearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06242228684090274969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5688209043302840072.post-17500586372760738042009-08-11T18:33:38.470-05:002009-08-11T18:33:38.470-05:00There are certain things where I procrastinate - w...There are certain things where I procrastinate - weeding, dead-heading, returning phone calls - there are others where I never procrastinate . . . but I cannot think of them right now . . . maybe later . . .Bonnie Zieman, M.Ed.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00282469017360136275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5688209043302840072.post-34518637744303089952009-08-11T14:50:39.473-05:002009-08-11T14:50:39.473-05:00oh i procrastinate so much... i think a lot of it ...oh i procrastinate so much... i think a lot of it has to do with "the thrill". i waste away my mornings, too. and that's such a shame because mornings can be the most lovely and productive time of the day.

http://www.rocknrollgypsy.comDanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03321147487918793961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5688209043302840072.post-47370776176136244162009-08-11T14:50:26.681-05:002009-08-11T14:50:26.681-05:00You'd think the feeling of accomplishment woul...You'd think the feeling of accomplishment would be enough, but no...I seem to do best when I make daily lists.
