Looking for a Negligee?

No, not THAT kind of negligee! In the jewelry world, lavalier necklaces with asymmetrical drops are referred to as negligees. The drops hang at different lengths and became popular during the early 1900s Edwardian period.

Antique Edwardian Amethyst Negligee Necklace

An Edwardian beauty, rendered in sterling silver with 12 1/2 carats of natural amethyst gemstones.  What a fabulous necklace! Wouldn't it be perfect for the wedding bride?

Art Deco Sodalite Marcasite Negligee Necklace

This necklace is a bit more involved in design with the lapel collar style with the 'negligee' drops dangling between.  Totally sublime!

So when you hear negligee necklace, one need not to be confused with the slinky sheer nightgowns!

Just a few of the 'negligee' necklaces we have on Boylerpf Antique & Vintage Jewelry!
