Back to our regularly scheduled program....

The blissful life of regularity has returned. With the DH having the month of December off, I decided it was a good time to sit back and enjoy the season. I actually got the time to read several books, watch movies I've wanted to and in general, just relax. Christmas Eve ushered in a 3 day blizzard with piles of snow and currently, the temperature is around -39 outside! I rarely make New Year's resolutions as most of the time they're broken within the first month or less. However, this year, I promise myself to go someplace warm....and I don't mean my backyard in summer! Can't you just see my smiling face sitting on that chair?

'Tis a good day to catch up on all the blogs that I have so missed this past month. So stay tuned...we're back on schedule!

Welcome back!! You've been missed.

And, honestly, that picture looks very much like where I went for Christmas! If you get a chance, Boracay, Philippines is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen.

It IS sunshine! And that was from Christmas! 86 degrees and it was amazingly beautiful. We stayed at the oldest resort on the island, Fridays. They have their own private beach and, even though it was a busy time, we never had problems getting a lounge chair.

If you want to see some more, I posted a few here:

So happy to have you back. I missed you Alicia!

Hellooooooo Alicia. I missed you. Welcome back!

It's funny that you mention a warm place, because not 15 minutes ago my wife was lamenting that she's tired of all this cold and sickness, and wants to go to some island where it's warm to get away.

Stay tuned.

Welcome back! I've missed you but thought it was because I have been so absent! :) Glad to know I didn't miss too much. Back to normalcy of some kind feels kind of good.

Welcome back, -39, I don't blame you for thinking about warm weather. Although it has been hot here and only getting hotter set to be over 100F on the weekend. I have spent the last 3 days in a swimming pool just trying to keep cool. Still -39 does not take my fancy, just some nice cooler weather of about 77F would sit me.

Welcome back!!! Minus 39????????

I'd opt for the sand and sea instead....yes, I would!
That is a brilliant resolution! : ) I hope you keep it!
I'll try to never complain about cold weather again.

Glad to see you back...and...my mom has made an ESTY order with you. I'll wear it though. She's just doing it for me. =^..^=

The Admiral

That was a horrendously low temperature you wrote of. Man alive!!! I sure hope it has moderated some.
Wow, I don't know how you guys can live in such a cold place! You are a stronger woman than me (I'm wimpy about the cold). My I join you on that beautiful sunny beach? I'm so glad you were able to spend a nice relaxing December with your husband!
Wool and I have a strange sort of relationship - one might say it takes place at a distance (or a least with a buffer between us). I'm allergic to it (even a small percentage of wool in a garment or item that's against my skin will cause give me a terrible rash), but I adore it for its versatility and timeless beauty. Thankfully looking at pictures of wonderful wool items, like these, is completely safe! :)

Thank you very much for your lovely comment this week, I really appreciate your visit to Chronically Vintage.

Wishing you a marvelous weekend,
Jessica
