Did I ever mention I love summer? Growing up in a small farming community, the summer drives meant fields of huge bright sunflowers turning their heads to the sun. This vision was never more apparent than while were were in the south of France horseback riding through the countryside. Fields of vivid yellow spread in all directions..it's no wonder that Van Gogh was so inspired by these beauties. Sunflowers in a painting add a bright touch to an otherwise muted room, bring a kitchen sunshine , add a flair to clothing whether it's a pareo you wrap around your neck or waist or adorable buttons for accents. A breath of fresh air!
