Inspiration.....

I had a dear friend email me yesterday after my "I wish" post asking if I was a little down. Ah...not one bit...thinking of being on an island lavishing in the sun sure does pick up the spirits. I'm just looking for that inspiration that sometimes eludes me. What inspires you?

Inspiration is a fleeting thing...sometimes it's an "Ah-HAH!" moment...like seeing a piece of work by someone else...sometimes nothing more than seeing dust motes (and I have plenty) dancing in a ray of sunshine. I've found it in my daughter's smile...the way my dog chases rabbits in his sleep or even a drop of dew hanging from a flower petal...
Inspiration is also gleaned when bills arrive in the mail, I find a new bauble I can't live without or my loving spouse inquiring if we actually ever did have an uncluttered flat surface in our house...
The world is just FULL of inspiration, if you'll just be still a while and look for them...GREAT POST!

I'm inspired by colors- 'mismatched vs matchy concept??? 'Beauty lies not in colors but in their harmony..." according to Marcel Proust...I'd like to seek my own definition so to speak... ~Blessings* as always!

and i never know what is going to inspire me, so i try to surround myself and expose myself to lots of good things. or even bad thing. h aahhaha. it usually works.
Many things inspire me - it really just depends on the day! I love entering team challenges because it gives me ideas :)

And thanks - I'm glad you like my contest!

I don't know if I have been inspired for a long time, but I do know what motivates me. Often it's necessity. Perhaps sunshine inspires me.
Hmmmm, I suppose being in the backcountry (woods) or on a mostly deserted island (such as Cumberland Island National Seashore) inspires me. Perhaps it is just the escape from everything man made - the rat race and noise and people and news and politics and just everything - that just allows me to truly relax and think about what is really important in life. I feel slightly lonely and yet so full of love and longing all at the same time. I appreciate every little detail of everything I see in nature.

I love reading everyone's comments on this post. Once again, YOU inspire us, Alicia! Thanks for being you...

Art! I could spend hours looking at paintings and drawings :-)

I love the picture with this post - it's so sweet.
I hear you about the fleeting inspiration thing.
It's hard to grasp, but when it hits you, it. hits. you.
You will be inspired when it's meant to be :D
Maybe take a drive and see what says 'hey, I'm your inspiration'
Thanks for the lovely thoughts, Alicia ~
I am Inspired by the ability to lovingly Nurture all of Nature's (God's) wonderful Gifts ~
.... Who says Nature and Nurture cannot live in Harmony?
